The Kärcher PDIR process, has been created from the industry experience that Kärcher has accumulated, which is designed to optimise cleaning programs, save costs, whilst also promoting eco-friendliness. It stands for Preventative, Daily, Interim, and Restorative cleaning functions. This approach maximises your return on investment by emphasising effective and efficient cleaning methods. Its implementation enhances your warehouse and the longevity of the flooring, streamlines’ time spent on cleaning and maximises your resources. This is achieved by redirecting wasted cleaning efforts towards smarter tasks, PDIR saves time, money, labour, and detergent – for you!
Preventative
Preventative cleaning stops soil from entering your warehouse or property and can be done inexpensively with proper equipment to keep most soil and dirt outside. The process involves sweeping and pressure washing paths and entrances, reducing tracked soil by 66%. Recommended equipment includes sweepers, pressure washers, exterior and interior matting. This method is environmentally friendly, requiring minimal to no chemical use.
Daily
Daily cleaning swiftly eliminates dust, soil and dirt from your property, minimising the damage it can cause to flooring. Regular removal of this type of matter extends floor life. The process involves vacuuming, carpet maintenance, spill clean-up, scrubbing, and steam cleaning. Recommended equipment includes upright vacuum cleaners, carpet spray extraction, scrubber dryers, and steam cleaners, all these machines can be hired from us. No chemicals are needed for vacuuming and only low levels of carpet detergent are required for effective spray extraction. For scrubber dryers using low levels of detergent and then water will clean and neutralise the floor.
Interim
Interim cleaning maintains a consistent appearance using less water and detergent, reducing the need for restorative work. Encapsulation cleaning and spray extraction restores carpets quickly, readying rooms in 30 minutes. For hard floors, initial deep cleaning with a scrubber dryer, followed by polishing, reduces cleaning time and detergent usage. Recommended equipment includes interim carpet extractors, scrubber driers, and polishing machines for floor shine restoration.
Restorative
There will come a time when you’ll need to undertake restorative work on your floors due to wear and tear. Only restorative cleaning will bring your floors back to a true “like new” state. For soft floors, utilise a pre-spray and a deep carpet extraction. To deep clean your hard floors, completely strip your floors and then recoat them. Warehouse floors may need cracks filled and a fresh non-slip surface coating applied.
